Oceano, California is home on the central coast of California 12 miles south of San Luis Obispo. This unique town is really still in the making with only around 7,000 residents. San Luis Obispo County has been ranked #6 on the top ten list of places to buy real estate in the United States.

However, during the Snowy Plover nesting season, the riding area is reduced to around 1,100 as this is the nesting home to the endangered bird.
Oceano is a quite town except for all the fun everyone is enjoying on the beach. Homes in the area have gone down in price as the town its self needs a bit of tender loving care, which is now in the process.
